What is a No Answer Transfer?
What is a no answer transfer? I’m sure you have thought about the view your business portrays on your customers. That could be why you are looking into getting an answering service or a virtual receptionist. Maybe you don’t have a lot of time to answer phones, or you need some of your tasks outsourced. One of the things you really need to think about is, what could happen if I don’t answer my phone. The worst case scenario is that you could lose a customer or a sale. What if that customer was looking for a service or product right away and then went to a different provider because you didn’t answer your phone? That customer then calls another provider and gets the service or product from them.
A no answer transfer could be an option for you
A couple options you have are, you could get a receptionist or answering service to handle all your calls. They can answer, transfer and schedule accordingly. Or you can have it so that if you don’t answer your calls by a certain amount of rings, you can then have the call transferred to your receptionist or answering service, neat huh? This is called a no answer transfer. A “no-answer transfer” can be set up to transfer calls after nobody answers on a certain amount of rings.
On days where you know you have time to answer calls, this is great. Maybe you have to step out for a couple minutes, a no-answer transfer would be a great option to have set up, so you know you are not missing any important calls.
