Out for the holidays and will be returning January 14th. She will have sporadic access to email.  She does have a few real estate transactions closing that first week after I return (January 14, 15, and 18) so I may receive calls about these – if so, please let them know that I’ll be checking my messages and if it’s urgent I’ll do my best to get back to them quickly, or else I will be in touch on the 14th.

Notary Services:  $40 for the first document and $20 for each additional document in the same session (inclusive of HST)

Wills and Powers of Attorney:

o   Will: $300 each plus HST

o   Power of Attorney:  $100 each plus HST

o   Will + Powers of Attorney for Property and Personal Care for one person:  $500 plus HST

o   Wills + Powers of Attorney for Property and Personal Care for a couple:  $100 discount off of the total rate (i.e. would be $1000 total for two people), for a total of $900 plus HST

o   Note that these rates are for standard situations, and I may need to charge more for more complicated situations or unusual requests

·         Real Estate:

o   Purchase:  Fees and Disbursements usually total approximately $1,400 to 1,700 plus title insurance and Land Transfer Tax (both of which vary depending on the purchase price)

o   Sale:  Fees and Disbursements usually total approximately $1,000 to 1,200

o   Refinance:  Fees and Disbursements usually total approximately $900 to $1,200

o   For all of the above, rates will increase if there is more than one mortgage or loan to pay out (for sales or refinances), or if the purchase/sale price is over $1,000,000 (for purchases and sales), or for any other additional complications.

·         Other Matters:  varies by situation.
